Its all for the BEST

"Its all for the best" thats how I remember the first chapter of the English subject of the third standard.

Now, I don't want to prove that I have a good memory, but this article relates to what most of us feel... that whatever happens its always for some good cause.

I emphasize on the word "always". I know that some of you will disagree with me, but read on, I am sure you will agree.

So its story time......

Long long ago (Now thats how am I taught to get good marks in essay writing).This is a story of a king and his prime minister. The prime minister had a habit of saying 'its all for the best'. Even in the smallest event he would say the same thing.

Once, the King had a cut on his little finger and the blood was following. As usual the prime minister said 'its always all for the best'.

'How can you say its best for me when my finger is bleeding?' with anger said the King.

'Sorry my majesty, but I believe that something good must be written for you' answered the prime minister.

Now the king could not control his anger. He got wild and ordered imprisonment for the prime minister.The king immediately left for hunting in a jungle without any of his soldiers or courtiers.

The king was tired and thought he will rest under a tree.

While he was asleep, a lion came towards the tree. The king came to know that a lion is nearby. He didn't move and almost became statue. The lion came near the king, smelled the finger of the king and thought its a dead body and moved ahead. The king was saved.

He immediately went back to his palace and ordered the release of the prime minister. He narrated the entire story of what happened in the jungle and how he was saved from the lion. He agreed that its always all for the best'I am sorry' he said to the prime minister for the imprisonment.

'My majesty I am thankful to you, had you not given me imprisonment, I would have accompanied you to the jungle and the lion would have a great meal of me. Sir, I am thankful that you had put me to prison and saved my life' said the minister.'Its always all for the best' said both of them together.

So do you believe in this saying ITS ALWAYS ALL FOR THE BEST

I am blessed

A recent experience, when life was going through tough times, I felt jealous, jealous of people who have "somethings" that I don't, and will take time and god's will to have in future. I thought do these people realise how blessed they are, for what they have others (like me) don't. A second thought just flashed simultaneously, am I aware that I am too blessed with other things which others may not have. It can be anything from having a family, or a home, or a job, or having limbs, etc. etc. I never thought that I am blessed with so many things, until this experience and I thank god for everything I have. Just a note: Of all the thoughts above doesn't mean I don't deserve "somethings" I long for. Its just that I have to try and keep my faith and hopes alive. I need to discover

I need to discover...... my daily local to my office gives me more insight to life than the books or articles I read. Yesterday, I was reading article on the 'Mastery of emotions' wherein how an attitude makes difference in ones life. Today, its about this kid (not to mention kids are always cute and lovable) and his mother. The first look at the kid and his mother was they hail from poor family. The kid must be a year old and crying with pain and mother tried to calm him down. I thought its normal and didn't bother to look beyond. I kept chanting my daily prayers without much diversions. As my station neared, I went to the door. Its my habit to stand first and get out of the local, as early to avoid the rush on the over bridge (all efforts to save my 5 minutes). The mother was standing behind me with the kid. She wanted to get off at the same station as mine. A year passed by

A year passed by... With so many travels to India and back, I am exhausted. So many functions and events, some good, some bad, some as they should have been some not. So many lives touched, many new people met, shared some thoughts, shared many memories... A year passed by... When I look back, I am back to the same state where I started a year back.. but empty handed. A year passed by... I am back to square one
